Applications

Application Process:

Cochlear and Bone Conduction Implants

The AboutSound Project accepts applications only from a qualified audiologist or ENT Specialist.

To be considered, an application must include a formal referral from a qualified Audiologist or ENT Specialist, along with supporting clinical reports and assessments.

Applications submitted directly by patients, parents, family members, caregivers, or other healthcare professionals cannot be considered.

Please note the following:

  • Submission of a referral does not guarantee acceptance into the project.
  • Applications are reviewed by our clinical team and must meet the project's medical and audiological eligibility criteria.
  • Progress within the project will be subject to funding availability and budget constraints.
  • The AboutSound Project funds surgery only.  Patients must be able to cover the costs associated with rehabilitation and therapy, follow-up appointments, transport and accommodation (where applicable), and any other ongoing expenses related to their treatment and recovery.

These services are essential to achieving a successful hearing outcome.

Tick all the boxes? We’d love to see your application!

Just make sure it includes everything listed above, as only complete applications can be considered.
